Baltimore teams take 3 of 4 contests against Washington-area rivals

What was billed as an epic matchup of area football titans in Saturday's inaugural I-95 Kickoff Classic quickly turned into a one-sided affair, as top-ranked Gilman raced to a three-touchdown lead by halftime and rolled to a 28-7 win over Good Counsel, ranked No. 1 by The Washington Post and No. 9 in the nation by USA Today.

South River football coach Steve Erxleben will return to coach the Seahawks this fall, but his suspension was extended through the first three games of the season for failing to file the proper paperwork after one of his players suffered a back injury and was hospitalized Aug. 16.
